Why Was It Cancelled? This Canadian import aired in the States on NBC as a Summer entry in 2009, but did not perform well enough for that network to bring it back the following year. However, the show performed well enough up north and internationally for the Canadian network CTV to bring it back, and it eventually moved to the cable channel ION in the States. Wikipedia claims that the show was cancelled after its fifth season, but five years and 65 episodes is a pretty good run for a Canadian show (which don’t usually target the extended runs that U.S. shows shoot for) and series star Craig Olejnik felt like they did a good job of wrapping up most the storylines:
I think (executive producer) Peter Mohan and the writers did a good job of wrapping up some of the bigger ideas that we have presented. Something comes full circle that people have been waiting for, for a long time.
