I know there was a prequal called “Star Trek Enterprise” that was many years before the events of the origional
Star Trek. This one is the captain who was right before Captain Kirk. The Klingons were still enemies of the Federation. In Star Trek Next Generation the Klingons were allied with the Federation and the main enemy was the Borg, really nasty, RESISTENCE IS FUTILE YOU WILL BE ASSIMULATED!!!! They cannot really bring out the Borg in this series because the Borg do not show up until The Next Generation, but I miss them. After you realize that the Klingons were not really bad, they just were protecting their own territories against what they perceived to be a threat from the Federation, and the Borg are so nasty, it is hard to go back in time and view the Klingons as enemies.
