Why Did It End? This show was cancelled by Syfy after three seasons, but a raucous campaign by the fans led to Amazon picking it up (and it helped that Jeff Bezos liked the show). Three more seasons were produced covering through the sixth book in the novel series. The story takes a time-jump at that point, so the decision was made to wrap up the television adaptation. But this show has developed quite a reputation, so don’t be surprised if it is revived at some point down the road.
