Why Was It Cancelled? This series received good marks from critics and fans–currently holding an 87% Fresh Rating and 79% Audience Score at Rotten Tomatoes–though it did not make it into the Netflix Top 10 for its first season. Showrunner Mattson Tomlin definitely had plans for a second year, and there was an early indication that the show was picked up, but Netflix has remained silent on its fate. Since it was left out of the list of 2026 releases, and it is also not in the development queue, I am going to assume that this will be another one-and-done genre entry from the streamer. Fans may want to make some noise on the social networks if they want more from this show.
