Description: Set in 1930s New York, “Spider-Noir” centers on an aging private investigator who is forced to reckon with his former life as the city’s only superhero. The series will be released in both black-and-white and color, leaning into the genre’s classic noir influences. The trailer shows Cage swinging through the city, jumping from cars, beating up crooks in a bar and getting “plastered” afterwards.
Streaming: All eight first-season episodes will be available on the premiere date.

Status: This has performed relatively well for the streaming service, landing in the Top 5 of the Nielsen Streaming Rankings for its first two weeks and averaging an estimated 795 million minutes viewed per week during that time. That is not quite at the same level as The Boys (that one averaged 883 million minutes per week in its fifth season), but those are still respectable numbers. Spider-Noir is certainly expensive to produce, but it does look like this one could continue to a second season and more. (You can read my review of the show at this link.)
