Status: This animated series, which originally premiered in the now-defunct DC Universe streaming service, was one of the last holdovers from the DCEU and was allowed to continue to a fifth year, also producing the spin-off series Kite Man: Hell Yeah!. But over a year after Season 5 wrapped up, there has been no word on the show’s fate, and there was no mention of it when DC Studios made announcements on several new and returning animated shows at the 2026 Annecy International Film Festival. Kaley Cuoco has expressed an interest in returning for more seasons, but showrunner Dean Lorey has said that the creative team wrote the Seson 5 finale with the uncertainty of a renewal in mind and wanted it to provide closure in case the show did not continue. With nothing currently in the works, and the cast and crew likely released from their contracts, I am counting this one as Ended for now, though it did have a healthy run for a streaming original at five seasons and 57 episodes. As an animated show, it could always return at some point down the road, so fans should make some noise on the social networks if they want more seasons from this one.
