Sci Fi TV News of Note:

Vince Gilligan has provided a little more information about his upcoming series Pluribus which follows a shocking global event that changes the lives of everyone on our planet and focuses on the character Carol Sturka played by Rhea Seehorn whom he describes as “the most miserable person in the world who decides she needs to save Earth from happiness”. He has said about the show that “We want to keep a lot of it secret, and we tried to hit every [sci-fi] trope and turn it on its ear”. TVLine went on to describe the show’s influences:

[Gilligan] drew inspiration from the film Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the Borg from Star Trek: The Next Generation, and the classic TV series The Twilight Zone. Fun fact: Seehorn’s character’s name is an homage to a character played by Fritz Weaver in The Twilight Zone episode “Third From the Sun” (cue sleuthing for possible Pluribus plotline clues!) and Better Call Saul guest star Carol Burnett.

The show will premiere November 7th on Apple TV+.

Wednesday co-star Fred Armisen has confirmed that a spin-off series is in the works for his Uncle Fester character. He mentioned it when he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and he said “It’s fantastic… It’s amazing.” No specifics beyond are available at this point, and it is only in the early stages of development, so stay tuned for more updates.

Apple TV+ has renewed its Foundation series for a fourth season, and that will likely arrive late 2026 or early 2027.

Netflix has given a premiere date for The Witcher Season 4 which will see Liam Hemsworth take over the lead role from Henry Cavill. The new season will premiere October 30th and you can see the teaser below.
