On top of greedy executives, lingering mysteries, plus heartbreak in VR and IRL, our characters are tested like never before. The only way they can get through it all and save humanity from deletion is by teaming up one last time. The first four episodes will be available on Monday, and the show will release one per week after that.

Sci Fi TV News of Note:
BBC chief content officer the Kate Phillips has confirmed that Doctor Who will continue with or without the Disney partnership. She made the following comments about the show’s future at Edinburgh TV Festival:
Any Whovians out there, rest assured – Doctor Who is going nowhere. Disney has been a great partnership and it continues with The War Between The Land And The Sea next year but, going forward, with or without Disney, Doctor Who will still be on the BBC.
Disney came onboard with the Ncuti Gatwa era, but he has since departed, and the two seasons he starred in did not draw strong viewership to the Disney+ streaming service. The Mouse House has not decided if they will continue to partner with BBC on the show–which involved injecting money while also having some creative control–but it appears that this venerable sci fi entry will carry on in any case. And should Disney bow out, another venue will almost certainly step in to take their place.
A new Battlestar: Galactica video is on the way from Alt Shift and Dotemu. Following is the description for BSG: Shattered Hopes from Steam:
In Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes, take command of a fleet escaping the annihilation of the Twelve Colonies. Manage crises on board as you prepare for the next encounter with the Cylon Fleet. Times are dire, and hard choices must be made. Your only hope: rejoin the Battlestar Galactica.
The game is scheduled for a Q1-2026 release, and you can see the trailer at this link.
In renewal news, MGM+ has given the greenlight to a second season of its paranormal drama The Institute and that should arrive at some point in 2026.
In scheduling news, Season 2 of Amazon’s Fallout has received a premiere date of December 17th. You can see the trailer for that below.

Sci Fi TV Trailers:
Fallout (Prime Video): Based on one of the greatest video games of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them above. Season 2 premieres December 17th.
