Status Updates
The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu, Status: Ending): This show improved to the Number 3 slot in the Nielsen Streaming Rankings for the week of its penultimate episode, pulling in an estimated 637 million minutes of viewing for the week. It has continued to perform well for Hulu and the sequel series The Testaments is currently in the works, likely arriving at some point in 2026.
Muderbot (Apple TV+, Status: Renewal Possible): This sci fi series did not make it into the Nielsen Streaming Rankings for its premiere week or its second week of streaming. That is not uncommon for Apple TV+ shows, though, seeing as that service has a smaller subscription base. The reviews have been good for the show so far, currently holding a 97% Fresh Rating and 79% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes, and the streamer has typically been supportive of its originals. But it would not hurt for fans to make some noise on the social networks to bring this one more attention.
The Librarians: The Next Chapter (TNT, Status: Renewed): The latest episode of this series pulled a 0.04 rating based on same-day viewing for the 18-49 demographic with 340K total viewers which are okay numbers for a basic cable series. The ratings for this show have been sporadic in part because there is very limited coverage of those stats these days and also because it has been pushed to a later timeslot multiple times due to sports coverage. But it was renewed for a second season in advance, so it should be okay for now.
