Sci Fi TV News of Note:
Doctor Who had its season finale Saturday night and changes are coming to the show. (SPOILER ALERT!!!) Ncuti Gatwa is apparently leaving the series after two seasons as his Doctor went through a regeneration and emerged as a familiar face. I won’t spoil that part, but you can read further at BBC.com (warning, the title to the article has a spoiler). Note that the show has not been officially renewed beyond the current season yet.
In scheduling news, the fifth and final season of Stranger Things has received a premiere date of November 22nd. Volume 1 will be released on that date followed by Volume 2 on December 25th and the series finale on December 31st. You can see the teaser below. Season 2 of The Boys spin-off Gen V will arrive on September 17th (see the trailer at this link). And a trailer has been released for the Doctor Who spin-off The War Between the Land and Sea which is expected to arrive later this year.
In casting news, after more than 30K actors have auditioned for the leads in the upcoming HBO Harry Potter series, Dominic McLaughlin has been cast as Harry, Arabella Stanton will play Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout will take on the role of Ron Weasley. They join John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid.

Sci Fi TV Trailers:
Stranger Things (Netflix): Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time. Volume 1 premieres Nov 26 at 8 PM EST, Volume 2 premieres Dec 25th at 8 PM EST, the Finale premieres Dec 31st at 8 PM EST.
