Nielsen is slacking and has not posted the latest set of Streaming Rankings, but I will get those added if they do come available. Over on Netflix, Shadow and Bone entered that streamer’s Top 10 for the week of March 13th to 19th. That was the week of its second season premiere and it landed at the Number 2 slot with 50 million hours viewed over four days. The first season also entered the charts at Number 5 with 24 million hours viewed. The show will need to hold in the charts for several weeks to get a third season, though, because Netflix has been very stingy with renewals of late. Following are all the sci fi and fantasy TV shows on the Netflix charts for the week (the number in parenthesis is the prior week rank):

Linear Ratings Results of Interest:

On Tuesday last week, new CW series Gotham Knights slipped to a 0.08 rating based on same-day viewing for the 18-49 demographic with 428K total viewers. That was a 27% drop from its premiere as apparently a fair number of the curious onlookers did not stick with the show in its second week, but those are still decent numbers for that network. And it is currently in the Parrot Analytics Top 10 On Demand shows, so it is making some waves early in its run.  But Gotham Knights will have to continue to hold strong to survive to a second year as the new network owners plan on trimming back much of the programming from the prior regime at season end.

Leading into that, Superman & Lois had a 0.11 rating in the demo with 661K total viewers as it currently leads all of The CW’s genre shows. It remains the odds-on favorite to stick around for another season on the network, though Gotham Knights is giving it a run. And there is always the possibility that one or both of the shows could leap over to HBO Max.

On Monday, NBC’s Quantum Leap slipped to a 0.26 rating with 1.9 million total viewers, but that one has already been renewed for a second season. On Wednesday, Syfy’s The Ark ticked down to a 0.06 rating with 403K total viewers, and that one needs some help from its fans if they want it to stick around for a second season.
