Cancellation Watch: Ratings results and status updates for the sci fi and fantasy shows on the broadcast networks, cable channels, and streaming services as well as breaking news on the currently airing, returning, and upcoming genre entries.  For the streaming ratings, see our weekly Digital Ratings posts.

Linear Ratings Results of Interest:

On Sunday, HBO’s The Last of Us improved to a series high in same-day viewing with a 0.28 score based on the 18-49 demographic and 841K total viewers.  That show is also performing well in digital viewing and has already been renewed for a second season.  Over on AMC, Mayfair Witches improved to a 0.11 rating with 490K total viewers heading into its first season finale this Sunday.  That one has also been renewed for a second season.

On Thursday, Syfy’s The Ark ticked up to a 0.05 rating with 310K total viewers. That one has been seeing decent gains from delayed viewing, but I have already moved it to Bubble status because overall it is underperforming.  (You can read my review of the show at this link.) Over on ABC, the new supernatural comedy Not Dead Yet slipped to a 0.31 rating with 2.3 million total viewers in its second week. That may still be okay for a sitcom on that network, but we will have to see how it tracks in the coming weeks.

On Tuesday, The CW’s The Winchesters improved slightly to a 0.05 rating with 357K total viewers. It is moving back to the 8 PM EST timeslot this week, so we will see if its numbers continue to improve. Over on NBC, La Brea had a 0.25 rating with 2.1 million total viewers. That one has been renewed, but possibly for a final season.

On Monday on FOX, Fantasy Island improved to a 0.24 rating with two million total viewers. That one remains one of the lowest-rated dramas on that network and could be moving to Bubble status soon.
