The Charts: Agent Carter Tops the General Sentiment Social Network Activity Chart for its Debut Week

ABC’s mid-season entry Agent Carter had its debut last week and pulled just okay numbers as far as the overnight ratings, but it did manage to top the General Sentiment chart for the week that tracks social network activity for the broadcast networks. It came in at Number 1 on that chart and it also hit the daily Nielsen Twitter Ratings Top 5 for last week (and this week as well), though it didn’t make it to the full week Top 10 on that chart. It also missed the Top 25 for the broadcast networks based on the ratings in the 18-49 demographic, though its 1.9 score probably had it around the Number 26 or 27 slot.  So while the show is not stirring up huge ratings at the moment, it is generating some interest across the social media which is at least something in its favor. Note that Person of Interest and Forever also made it to the broadcast net General Sentiment chart for the week, thought that is largely because there was not as much competition with many shows (particularly The CW entries) still on hiatus.  I expect both to drop out when this week’s numbers are tallied.

General Sentiment tracks activity across the social networks for shows airing new episodes in Prime Time (start times between 8:00 PM and 10:55 PM EST Monday – Saturday and 7:00 PM and 10:55 PM EST on Sunday).  This data collected on seven (7) major broadcast networks and 43 cable television networks.  More info at this link.
