Description: Cassie Bishop was born with a gift – though she may call it a curse. She can see and communicate with the dead, helping them with their unresolved problems… whether she likes it or not. When her longtime friend Detective Tom Hackett and his new partner, former FBI Agent Damien Asante, need help solving a darkly puzzling murder, Cassie agrees to use her abilities. Why Was It Cancelled? This show was originally intended for a mid-year debut during the 2018-19 season, but was pushed to a Summer start which is often a red flag. It actually debuted with decent ratings for a Summer entry, but those slipped through the show’s first season and the network preempted it twice early in its run which did nothing to help its viewership. By all appearances, the network seemed to have given up on the show before it aired and dumped it on the Summer schedule as a burn-off run. The InBetween actually matched the same-day ratings of the CBS Summer entry Blood and Treasure which received a second season renewal. But that latter series may have also had international deals that made it more profitable for the network. Fans may want to take to the social nets with a Call to Action to save the show, but it might be too late for that.
