Sci Fi TV Listings for the Week of June 29th: Premieres for Warrior Nun and JU-ON: Origins

Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.

Netflix will be adding two more series to its ever-expanding slate of originals this week. On Thursday the supernatural drama Warrior Nun has its debut with all episodes available for viewing that day. That one comes from Continuum‘s Simon Barry and is based on Ben Dunn’s comic Warrior Nun Areala. On Friday, the supernatural horror series JU-ON: Origins has its debut with all episodes available to stream. That one acts as a prequel to the horror franchise JU-ON which has produced multiple movies. Apart from that, the offerings are slim this week, but there are more shows on the way throughout Summer.  You can see the full schedule of sci fi and fantasy shows at this link.

Schedule Notes: If a show is listed as On Hiatus, that means that it is taking a break of more than two episodes in a row. If a streaming series is included in the listings after its premiere date, then it releases new episodes once per week on that day as opposed to releasing its entire season at one time.
