Another Netflix original film arrives this week as Sam Worthington leads the sci fi entry The Titan. It appears that transforming into an alien–as he previously did in Avatar–is his thing because he will be doing the same in the Netflix movie. Here is the description of the film: “On a bleak future Earth, a soldier endures a radical genetic transformation to save humanity. But his wife fears he’s becoming more creature than man.” That one debuts on the streaming service on Friday. Also premiering on Friday on Netflix is the second season of A Series of Unfortunate Events. All episodes will be available for streaming that day. Also premiering this week is Freeform’s new series supernatural series Siren which has a double-episode debut on Thursday. And on that night on The CW, Supernatural has its crossover with Scooby Doo in the episode “Scoobynatural”. Wrapping up this week is Starz’s Counterpart on Sunday. That show has already been renewed for a second season.
Note that last week I whiffed of the Shadowhunters Season 3 premiere on Freeform. That show is airing at 8 PM EST on Tuesdays. You can see the current schedule for all the sci fi and fantasy shows at this link.
