More premieres and returns this week as mid-season continues to rev up to full speed. For premieres, we have Lucifer (Monday on FOX), The Magicians (Monday on Syfy), and You, Me, and the Apocalypse (Thursday on NBC). Also, on Monday The X-Files bows in its regular timeslot after having its post-NFL playoff premiere on Sunday. Mid-season returns include Vampire Diaries and The Originals (both on The CW and moving to Fridays ), and Grimm (Friday on NBC). Note that last week FOX announced that new series Second Chance was getting moved to Fridays (the first step toward cancellation, more at this link), and I thought it was supposed to start there this week.
