On Friday of this week, Netflix unleashes the first of its Marvel shows as the much anticipated Daredevil has its debut. It’s my understanding that all ten episodes of the first season will be available on that day, so the binge-watchers should clear their calendars. This one will be followed by the Jessica Jones series later this year, Luke Cage next year, then the Iron Fist and finally Defenders team-up series some time after that. Also bowing this week is WGN’s Salem which will have its second season premiere. On Friday, Syfy’s 12 Monkeys and Helix will have their season finales (the former has been the renewed, the latter is still looking likely for cancellation). And of course next week Game of Thrones will be returning with its fifth season premiere as well as the returns of Bitten (Season 2) and Lost Girl (fifth and final season) to Syfy on Fridays. Also note that The CW’s new series The Messengers was originally scheduled to bow this coming Friday but has since been moved to Friday April 17th. And most of that network’s shows are back into repeats or preemptions this week, though after that each should run straight through to their season finales (seems like I said that before, though . . . ).
