The Charts: The 100 Rises in the General Sentiment Charts for its Season 2 Finale


the-100-cancelledThe CW’s The 100 has been struggling in the ratings throughout its second season (though it did get the greenlight for a third year) but it has done well (as have most of the fifth place net entries) in the General Sentiment charts that measure social network activity related to the show.  For its season finale, The 100 improved to the Number 3 rung on that chart and it has proved to have a strong fanbase who are active online throughout the season.  Apart from that, the Nielsen charts that track the broadcast network shows continue to look slim for genre entries as only Once Upon A Time appeared on the list based on the ratings in the 18-49 demo and Person of Interest made it back to the total viewers chart after airing a repeat last week.  The Walking Dead continued to dominate the charts it appears on and expect Game of Thrones to pick up that torch shortly as it returns on April 12th right after TWD wraps up its fifth season.

General Sentiment tracks activity across the social networks for shows airing new episodes in Prime Time (start times between 8:00 PM and 10:55 PM EST Monday – Saturday and 7:00 PM and 10:55 PM EST on Sunday).  This data collected on seven (7) major broadcast networks and 43 cable television networks.  More info at this link.
