Prime Time Sci Fi TV: Legends, With Sean Bean, Premieres on TNT

New or notable science fiction and fantasy entries on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change.

Another premiere this week with TNT’s Legends starring Sean Bean as an agent who changes his identity for each case but who finds that he is suffering from an identity crisis.  It looks like an interesting spy fi entry, though not certain at this point how heavy it will be on the fi.  Tune in Wednesday night to find out.  Also, BBC America is prepping for the upcoming premiere of of Doctor Who on August 23rd with a special this coming Saturday Doctor Who: The Ultimate companion as well as another installment of their series The Real History of Science Fiction which focuses on time travel.  And for those interested, Syfy unleashes its latest disaster cheapie Zodiac: Signs of the Apocalypse on this coming Saturday.  And that network’s new series Dominion apparently had its series finale last week.  I did not expect oi to wrap up after only eight episodes so I missed noting that it was the season finale.  Also possibly of interest is Shark Week on Discovery Channel.  Looks like they are going over the top this time around with specials titled Alien Sharks, Zombie Sharks, and Sharkageddon and so on (the Sharknado effect?), so maybe genre fans will find something of interest there.
