The Charts: Teen Wolf Returns to the Nielsen Twitter Chart, The Last Ship and True Blood Stay in the Cable Top 25

Chart activity for sci fi / fantasy TV shows for the week of June 23rd through 29th:

Teen-Wolf-CancelledThere wasn’t too much activity in the charts this past week for sci fi / fantasy shows, but Teen Wolf’s fourth season debut did land that one at the Number 2 slot on the Nielsen Twitter Ratings. Even though that MTV show’s viewership ratings are down a bit this season, it’s still causing plenty of buzz in the Twitter-verse and I expect it to remain in the Top 10 throughout the Summer.  HBO’s True Blood fell off that chart after appearing there at the Number 7 slot last week. That series has also seen its ratings slip, so not sure if it will make it back on this chart again until maybe its series finale at the end of the Summer. The cable Top 25 based on total viewers had two genre entries last week: TNT’s The Last Ship at the Number 7 slot and True Blood at Number 23. Falling Skies fell out of the Top 25 after ranking at Number 17 last week with its fourth season debut. There was no genre activity in the broadcast network Top 25s, with Person of Interest not even making its usual appearance for its Summer repeats. But next week we should see CBS’ Under the Dome near the top of both the ratings and total viewership charts. And the other CBS Summer entry Extant–which debuts on July 9th–could make it there the following week as well.

Here is the full look at chart activity for genre shows for the week:
