Prime Time Sci Fi TV: Game of Thrones Season 4 Finale (How Much Blood Will They Spill?) Plus Premieres of Defiance and Dominion

New or notable science fiction and fantasy entries on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans.

That “bridge” season between the regular season and Summer is winding down as HBO’s Game of Thrones has its Season 4 finale.  Based on the death toll we have already seen this season, what can we possibly expect from this episode?!  Also concluding are FOX’s Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, NBC’s Believe, and WGN’s Salem (that one has been renewed for a second season).  And helping to get the Summer season revved up, Syfy’s epic series Defiance has its second season debut on its new night and time Thursdays at 8 PM EST.  And in the next hour, new angel-pocalypse series Dominion (based on the big screen entry Legion) has an hour and a half series debut.  For this week’s movie of note, I picked Super 8 which airs on FXX on Wednesday from 8-10:30 EST.  That Steven Spielberg/J.J. Abrams collaboration (and based on Spielberg’s own early filmmaking endeavors) was no classic, but it still offers some retro sci fi fun.
