ABC’s new series Resurrection has been dropping in the ratings since its debut three Sundays ago, but it continues to hold onto its Top 10 ranking based on the broadcast network ratings in the 18-49 demographic. This last Sunday’s episode might have dropped to a 2.5 rating based on the overnights, but its rank at the Number 7 slot remained the same as the prior week. That indicates that overall numbers across the broadcast networks must have been down for the week and the show’s ratings drop may not have been as much of a concern as previously thought. The only other genre show in the Top 25 based on ratings for the week was ABC’s Once Upon A Time which slipped to the Number 19 rung. Believe dropped out as expected because of its ratings plunge and Agents of SHIELD dropped out because it was preempted. In the broadcast network Top 25 based on total viewers, CBS series Person of Interest jumped back in (after the prior week’s repeat) and landed at the Number 8 slot while Resurrection repeated but slipped to the Number 13 slot.
In the cable Top 25 based on total viewers, The Walking Dead once again reigned at the top of the chart with The Talking Dead at Number 2. TWD will be dropping out after next week’s Season 4 finale, but expect Game of Thrones to take up residence after its April 6th Season 4 debut. In the Nielsen Twitter Rankings, The Walking Dead was again held out of the Number 1 slot, this time by season finale of ABC Family entry Pretty Little Liars (those teens must have been tweeting more fast and furious than TWD fans). Teen Wolf improved to the Number 3 slot on that chart for the week.
