Almost Human made a return visit to the list of Top 25 broadcast network shows for the week of February 10 to 16 (it last appeared there for the week of Jan 13-19) and Intelligence managed to creep in there as well. Almost Human ranked Number 14 based on its rating in the 18-49 demo and Number 23 based on total viewers, while Intelligence landed at Number 20 based on ratings and Number 16 based on total viewers. And while that may seem like an accomplishment for these struggling shows, the fact is they only made it to the charts because of the lack of competition. Both shows were among the few airing new episodes as the broadcast nets mostly ceded Prime Time to NBC’s Olympics coverage for the week and aired repeats or specials. To give some perspective, repeats of The Big Bang Theory and The Millers were ahead of both of those shows based on the ratings numbers. And quite a numbers of shows in reruns (including Person of Interest) topped Almost Human based on the total viewers. I’ve already discussed that Monday has turned into sci fi suicide night for the broadcast nets of late, and the appearance of these two shows in the Top 25 will be short-lived. They will likely appear in next week’s charts covering this week’s activity as well because we had another round of mostly repeats, but then they will almost certainly disappear after that with Intelligence possibly getting yanked from the schedule altogether. So the brief return to the charts for these struggling shows this week offers little hope as both likely have a date with the network executioner in their futures.
As far as the cable shows, both The Walking Dead and Teen Wolf continued to register strong in the Nielsen Twitter Rankings and TWD topped the Cable Top 25 again. Here is the full look at chart activity for genre shows for the week of February 10th through 16th:
