The Charts: Sleepy Hollow Ends Its First Season in the Top 10

There wasn’t too much activity among genre shows in the charts last week, but FOX supernatural series Sleepy Hollow did manage to break into the Top 10 with its final episode of its first season.  The first hour of the show’s two part season final landed at Number 16 while the second part edged up to the Number 10 slot.  I do find it somewhat interesting that an episode with a 2.4 rating made it into the Top 10 because at the beginning of the season that score would not even land a show in the Top 25.  This is a clear sign of the amount of audience attrition that has occurred among the Big Four broadcast nets this season alone as they continue to slip from their once lofty status as the kings of Prime Time.  No other genre shows made it to the Top 25 last week (ratings or total viewers) because Agents of SHIELD and Person of Interest were in repeats.  And neither of those shows had new episodes this week either, so the Top 25 will be pretty sparse for sci fi / fantasy next time around as well.  American Horror Story: Coven slipped to the Number 21 slot with its Season 3 finale, though it did rise on the Nielsen Twitter rankings to Number 7.  Teen Wolf again appeared on that chart, rising one rung to the Number 4 slot.  The Walking Dead is back from hiatus on February 9th, so that one should be returning to both the Nielsen Twitter Rankings and Cable Top 25 once it resumes.
